REGULATIONS FOR THE KLAIPĖDA MARATHON 2019

I. COMMON PART

VšĮ „Ponas maratonas“ organise Klaipėda marathon on 30st of June, 2019.

II. DISTANCES

Amateurs and professionals will have the possibility to compete in given distances:

Children run – 500 m;

5 km;

10 km;

21,098 km;(half marathon)

42,195 km (marathon)

III. TIME AND PLACE OF THE EVENT

Smiltynė; Old Ferry

Marathon and Half Marathon start– 9.20 a.m

Children run start – 12.30 a.m

5km and 10km start – 1.20 p.m

IV. TIME LIMITS

500 m – 15 min.

5 km – 45 min.

10 km – 1 h. 30min.

Half Marathon  21,098 km – 3 h.

Marathon 42,195 km – 5 h. 30min.

The electronic system of time measurement will be turned off at 3.00 p.m. on the day of the event and time results will not be recorded after that. Also, at 3.00 p.m. the streets will be opened and the organisers of the marathon will not be responsible for runners’ safety.

V. PARTICIPANTS

  1. Anyone can participate in the competition after completing the entry form, passing a medical examination and confirming this on the registration form. Participants take part in the event at their own free will and they accept all risks (unexpected health problems etc.) related to the competition and will have no legal claims in this respect to the organisers of “Klaipėda Marathon”. Upon registration and when taking his or her bib number the participant must have a personal identification document.
  1. With registration to the event every participant authorises, that he or she gives all the rights to use still and moving images in which he or she appears for marketing purposes without additional permission of the participant.
  2. Parents, legal guardians or coach take full responsibility for participants under 18 .
  3. Marathon and Half Marathon participants must be 18 or older on the day of the event.
  4. By registering the participant confirms that he understands that participation in the event is associated with a high human physical abilities test for, also confirms that there is a health assessment takes the Lithuanian Republic of the statutory medical examination requirements and the operator or other persons asked to provide the supporting state of health certificate. In the event of allegations of inappropriate health condition, the organizers request, the participant is required to suspend their participation in the event and to consult a doctor.
  5. The participant understands and confirms that the organizers can not and will not reimburse the participant’s health or life of the damage. The total risk and responsibility for the participant’s health problems, injuries and accidents resulting from the participation in the event, has only participant.
  6. Children run participants must be birth of 2009 or younger.

VI. SPECIAL TERMS AND RESTRICTIONS

    1. Participants can register and take part in the race only under his/her own names. In all other cases participants will be disqualified and the results will not be included in the official competition results.
    2. If registered participant want to change distance:
      2.1 To shorter – participant has to pay changing fee – 3 EUR.
      2.2 To longer – participant has to pay new registration fee minus already paid registration fee plus 3 EUR for the change.
      2.3 The entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another participant.
      2.4 Participant data updating, modification fee – 3 EUR. All changes in the registration have to be made until June 25th.

  1. Every participant of the competition must have a number fastened neatly on their T-shirt/vest. The number has to be fastened on the front of the T-shirt/vest to be clearly visible.
  2. It is strictly forbidden to use any kind of transport, e.g. bicycles, roller-skates, skate-boards and other wheeled vehicles during the race. In case of breaking this restriction the participant will be disqualified.
  3. Participants are not allowed to have any personal escort during the race. In case of breaking this restriction the participant will be disqualified.
  4. No animals are permitted on the course during the race.
  5. Each participant must attach the time measuring device on the sports shoes. Competitors do not, or not properly attach the chip, time will not be recorded, and these will not be included in the official competition results.
  1. Lost or broken time measuring device, paid fee of 5 EUR per chip.
  1. Any deviation from the set course (without permission of the judge) is prohibited. In case of breaking this restriction the participant will be disqualified.
  2. Any possible claims must be submitted to the main referee of the competition in writing within 30 minutes after the termination of the competition, accompanied by a fee of 15 Euros, which will be refunded if the claim is satisfied by the appeal commission (the director of the marathon, main referee). Claims are not considered unless the fee is paid.
  3. Participants are prohibiting the use of musical instruments and equipment on track, which limits the participant’s hearing.

VII. SPECIAL POINTS ON TRACK

  1. There will be a total of 2 refreshment stations along the course. The water and isotonic drink zones are approximately 4 km apart. All station will be checked on the map.

VIII. AWARDS

Marathon 42,195 km award:

  1. 1 – 3 places men and women are awarded Klaipėda marathon cup and prizes.
  2. All finished participants will get memory medal.

Half Marathon 21,098 km award:

  1. 1 – 3 places men and women are awarded Klaipėda marathon cup and prizes.
  2. All finished participants will get memory medal.

10 km ;  5 km award:

  1. 1 – 3 places men and women are awarded Klaipėda marathon cup and prizes.
  2. All finished participants will get memory medal.

 500 m award:

  1. 1 – 3 places children are awarded memory prizes.
  2. All participants will get memory souvenirs.

The most massive team will be awarded – Cup.

The most interesting costume will be awarded.

Competition organizers reserve the right to adjust awards.

  1. PARTICIPANTS ENTRY FEES
  2. The entry fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another participant.
  3. Registration is completed only after payment of the entry fee.
  4. The organizers reserve the right to allow the participant to attend without the start fee.

* To save your and our money – Payment can be not necessarily to each separately. If you are going to register more than 10 participants, for example: transfer for the club members, one member of the family for the whole family, possible co-circles, team or company order. A list of participants can be adjusted via e-mail: ponasmaratonas@gmail.com.

X. PARTICIPANTS REGISTRATION AND NUMBER PICK-UP

  1. Participants may register online at www.klaipedosmaratonas.lt or https://tickets.paysera.com/lt/ till 27th of June.
  2. All participants may register in the information center at Smiltynė on the day of the event from 8 a.m. The registration will be closed 30 minutes before the start of each race.
  3. Participants may pick-up their starting package at the day of the event from 8 a.m. in the information center at Smiltynė. The number pick-up will be closed 15 minutes before the start of each distance.

XI. THE COURSE
